I’m Caroline Rees, a fully qualified specialist dyslexia assessor, with a Postgraduate Diploma in Specific Learning Difficulties (Dyslexia) from UCL. I hold a valid Assessment Practicing Certificate (APC) and I’m an Associate Member of the British Dyslexia Association (AMBDA). You will also find me listed on the British Dyslexia Association (BDA) approved tutor list and PATOSS approved tutor list.
These accreditations ensure that my assessments and reports meet the highest national standards. The reports I produce can also be used to support an application for exam access arrangements and can be used as evidence for Disabled Students’ Allowance (DSA) in higher education.
I combine both personal and professional insights into my practice. Having worked in secondary education for many years with students with SpLDs and other learning needs, including neurodiversity, I am passionate about ensuring that people with dyslexia receive the right support and strategies to thrive, not only in school, but in everyday life and beyond.
Being a parent of children with specific learning difficulties, I am aware of the different challenges presented from early education through to young adulthood. My approach is rooted in compassion and understanding, offering individualised support and guidance to learners and their families as they navigate their educational journeys.
I maintain an up-to-date DBS check and appropriate indemnity insurance, ensuring that families feel confident that they are in safe, professional hands.
